Mount Annapurna is one of the most popular mountains in Nepal which resides in the wonderful Pokhara valley. Annapurna Circuit Short Trek route is considered to be among the most revered and the most spectacular trekking destination of Nepal. Opened to the foreigners in 1977, the Annapurna Circuit Short trekking showcases its natural beauties, magnificent scenery and landscapes, and many diverse and rare species of animals and plants.
Annapurna Circuit treks, which lasts for about three weeks, starts from the village of Besisahar and advances towards the Marshyangdi River. Along the way one can witness the magnificent view of the serene Manaslu and Himal Chuli in the east. Then, the trek leads you through a village, one that has remained isolated and untouched from mainstream civilization and harbours unique traditional values and cultural diversity. People from different ethnic groups may be seen residing together in the same village, living peacefully and sharing their hospitality with their guests. Along the way one can see the architectural wonders of the ancient Buddhist as the road is sparsely dotted with monasteries and gumbas. Throughout the way, one can feast their eyes on the magnificent and grand Himalayas resting in peace, covered in snow. Annapurna Circuit Short Trekking then advances towards north to the main Himalayan range and passes through the high and dry Tibetan Plateau. All along the way, the view you can see is equally breathtaking.
Annapurna Circuit short Trekking is popular for trekkers for Thorungla Pass, which is at the highest point of the trek at 5416 meters above the sea level, is full of difficulties. The terrain is rugged and added the extra difficulties of high altitude; the path is more than favorable for trekking. So usually, the circuit is completed by travelling counter clockwise across the pass. The clockwise trip has longer ascent and shorter descent so very few people manage to complete it within a day. The trip, Annapurna circuit trek follows a descent towards the west from Muktinath from Manang through the barren village that resembles the Tibetan culture. Along the way, one can feast their eyes on the deepest gorge of the world as the Kaligandaki river passes between the giant mountains of Nepal, namely Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Once the Thorong La pass 5416m is crossed, the final days of the Annapurna circuit trek resembles the experience of reverse trek from the Jomsom to Pokhara.
