Situated in the heart of the Ananpurna sanctuary, the Tharpuchuli Peak is known to climbers of the Annapurna Himalayan Range as the Tent Peak. The nick name was given by Jimmy Roberts in 1956. An attractive mountain at sight, it is a part of the ridgeline of the Himalayas and is located in the south from the glacier dome. The peak Singu Chuli divides the peak in its centre and encloses the sanctuary. When combined with the Annapurna Base camp trek, the tent peak climbing provides the best imaginable trek in Nepal full of panoramic views of the Himalayas and the nick of adventure.

Starting from Pokhara, the lake city of Nepal, the trek commences from the Annapurna region through the mountainous terrains of the Himalayas. The trail leads you through Dhampus, Landruk, Chomrong and Dobhan. One can enjoy the view of the Himalayas along with the scenery of the glacier and alpine forest filled with rare and diverse wildlife. The tent peak climbing features the view of the two 8000ers of Nepal: Mt. Annapurna (8091 m) and Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m). One can expect to enjoy the hospitality of the people along the way and get the hint of essence of the Nepalese culture and tradition.

During the spring season, you will see the mountains tinged with red or pink during dusk and dawn. The buffer zone near the Annapurna massif, which is considered to be one of the most picturesque sites in Nepal, falls on the way of the Tent Peak Climbing.A wonderful trip to take, the tent Peak climbing promises to provide the blend of a short trekking experience and a peak climbing expedition.
